26. I still have issues with Smith as the Doctor

Having grown up with the Doctor, I still find Matt Smith's portrayal to be rather weak. Really, I think it is that he is just too young. He does not convince me that he is a 900 year old alien who has witnessed and assisted in the genocides of two of the universe's greatest races.

And that episode last season about the cubes really made it hard for my girlfriend and I to take him seriously. He acted like a bored ADD teenager while waiting for the cubes to 'do something'.

We will give him another chance. Perhaps a change in companions will deepen and mature this actor and his Doctor. Perhaps not. We shall see.
