Slippery things. Ryan comes off as an angry child. Being able to speak a lot in public doesn't equate to wisdom. Top examples Rush, Hannity, Beck, etc. They run their mouths a mile a minute, and are persuasive on the subconscious level.

When I'm around someone like that, I look for the Exit. It is hell having to deal with people like on a daily basis, worse in poltiics than in corporate games. In a corporation, you work to save your job, in politics, you're trying to save someone else's life, if you believe in that.

The pressure is so intense and personal and so many people demand so much and never think of them as humans and not vending machines. It's why a lot of good folks are no longer interested. It can be a thankless job, with only the work itself as a reward.

Priorities match levels of maturity. I think most of the GOP haven't grown up.
