Malaysia puts Bush, Cheney on 'trial' for war crimes

3. I never expected Bush and his band of marauders would ever be put on trial

in this country. But I had hoped that what we now know about the decision to go to war in Iraq, the failure to pursue our avowed enemies in Afghanistan and the wasteful prosecution of both wars in terms of men (and women), materiel and cold hard cash (remember the billions that turned up missing in Iraq) would lead us to be more retrospective.

This should have led us to attempt to understand how and why we made these mistakes. Many would say these decisions were driven solely by policies of GWB and Darth Vader Cheney. I suggest that while they may have been driving these decisions, their was more to see than meets the eye.

Will we ever learn?
