Later, I was talking with an acquaintance and mentioned having watched the movie. I tried to explain what it was about. I said it was apocalyptic - people living in the bayou of Louisiana (I think) and what happens when everything floods as a result of global warming.

The person I was talking to just gave me the "face palm" thing, like "Not this shit again". I just let it go. What's the point?

But HOW can anyone be in such denial about what's happening all around them? I hesitate to think about what it's going to be like in my neck of the woods this coming summer, because we haven't had anything resembling winter so far this season, and last summer was brutal.

And think about what's happening in Austrailia. That should scare the bejeesus out of you.

What will it take for people to wake up?
