Maybe the federal government should have been protecting us? It is clearly a national issue across several states and involves interstate commerce and transport of toxic waste. Unfortunately they sided with the oil & gas companies for some reason, actually becoming the head cheerleader for this industry.

The state gov't in Ohio is also siding with the gas companies. The reason is because they get money.
