3. More than resist

I watching Henry Gate's show last night (Finding your Roots) and one of the people he had on was Ava DuVernay - director of Selma.

They showed clips of Selma and Ava spoke about her stepfather being from the area around Selma. When again reminded of what people stood for then, said to my partner, we haven't done nearly enough with our marches, and speaking out, we really haven't done anything compared to what people did for civil rights.

More than resist - we have to increase our involvement, speaking out, gathering, working to register voters and getting people to the polls.
