if either Hillary of a Republican wins, the 3 trade deals and the finishing of WTO deals started two decades ago will mean that the Presidency/Congress/Senators will be mostly symbolic on economically relevant issues, with no real power.

Bernie is pretending that the WTO never happened more as a referendum on it. But we began a process which is almost finished signing away the right to have any more New Deals (and also our right to protect domestic markets) two decades ago during the Clinton Administration. The opening of the US market to globalisation is almost wrapped up. It will mean big changes.

Much of the paralysis has already happened on health care, as we can see.

the part which is beginning is the Mode IV provisions of FTAs - basically the globalized subcontracting part.
