52. the 2nd amendment is not about regulation or private gun ownership

When they used the word regulate back then, it was about training and oversight of the state citizen militias which would be the National Guard today. We did not have a standing army yet. Congress has the power to regulate because they have the power to make laws. They have passed many laws about weapons including an assault weapons ban that has expired.
