Why would it "make things less confrontational" if we "keep in mind" that "some have a 'problem' with homosexuality?"
You won't find a gay person denying that "some people have a problem with homosexuality." We noticed. There are lots of laws against us.
What kind of confrontation are you trying to reduce?
