Not only do they get to pay the bill for recovering the vessel, get to pay for fixing it, and pay a shitload of fines for allowing a ship to run aground, the Kulluk was still in Alaska after the new year, so they still have to pay the taxes they were attempting to evade by moving it in a storm!
