I know when my friend first wrote about her husband's fall, my husband asked how could he do that? I told him that afaik they were traveling and it probably was a strange bedroom in the night. But it could so easily have been just a slip at home.

Most clots are in the leg, below the knee. Easily treated, not life threatening or limiting.
