15. I am ready to see the truth

I just joined DU after years and hundreds of hours of enjoyment. I have been inspired by the Right to Work For Less bill passed in my state. I am trying to piece together a clearer picture of the "tent collapse" incident. I have seen several videos in the past days, and it appears some of the people loosening the tent straps were arguing AGAINST the union guys in other videos. One reliable and unedited video is on WILX.com the local NBC station here. It also shows union guys getting smashed by state troopers with batons, something no one is reporting. Several Youtube videos from tea party people have been removed that showed some of the aggresive behavior on their side as well. I also notice a lot of choppy, heavily edited videos from tea party people have been posted. I am going to see if I can make a list of who's who based on their clothing and make a timeline for the events and i.d. the players. Anybody who has some free time or cares to help please leave any info you come up with. I feel that this whole thing was a "ACORN" style set-up.

To be clear, I was there and I am a very liberal, pro-union guy. Most of my family as well as my wife's are pro-union. I arrived after the tent was on the ground, but I felt positive energy from the workers there. I heard Jesse Jackson and Virg Bernero give great speeches blocks from my house. I know a handful of people were angry and cursing. And on some of the videos you see some unflattering behavior from some of the union guys there. I understand but don't condone some of what happened. But I know the 99 percent keeps taking blows. And for some of these guys it is the last straw.

But to be provoked by speakers blaring Ronald Reagan in your face and tea party scum (professional victims) it was a ticking timebomb. From my understand Dick DeVos (Amway, LOSER in MI 06 Gov race) rented the tent for the lawn and offered $25 dollar gas cards and free food and drink for those in the tent. I also wonder how DeVos knew to rent a tent on this day and when he applied for the permit. The bill was brought up and passed within days. And for only 3 arrests made, think of the probability. I see three arrested at every 12,000 person concert I have ever attended, sometimes more.

I stood on that same lawn in April '10 to protest the tea party at the capitol. When I came chanting "America love it or leave it", I saw plenty of swearing, name calling, posturing and screaming. I had a guy blowing cigarette smoke in my face over and over until I let him know that I was going to kick his ass. I'm talking two feet from me directly in my face. A couple losers were there making fun of my father because he had a kidney transplant. After some crazy rednecks grabbed my dad from behind I let them know he was prone to infection and to leave their hands to themselves. That opened the personal attacks on his health. "Awwwww, you got a kidney, awwwwww", childish stuff. My pops died 5 months later. He was an Operating Engineer for over thirty years with great health insurance. He was just there because he feels we all deserve health coverage. They called us unemployed, freeloaders, mooches, the usual. But after it happend, I never went to media crying. There were cameras three inches from my face for two hours and people calling me idiot, moron, and communist. Funny they don't post their own loudmouths on Youtube.

But back to the point, this lie has traveled around the world twice and I think may be easy to disprove. I'm on a mission, and any help or input from you awesome liberals would be appreciated. I am so glad this site is here. I am glad I finally decided to connect with others here instead of just going to protests.
