Seriously, if no deal is struck, the GOP will firmly believe that American blames the President and Democrats for the problem. Right now, they believe they are negotiating in good faith and present acceptable ideas.

What will change in the end? Not a damn thing. After Jan 1 the Bush tax cuts will go away and we'll have to usher in the Obama tax cuts.
