In reply to the discussion: 4 Critically Hurt During Apparent Lightning Strike Near White House [View all]electric_blue68
(14,888 posts)24. More snow there than Philadelphia?! Ha, that's pretty wild. ...
You were lucky, then.
I love Philly.
My sib was there for about 10+ months.
Visited her a few times. Went to the celebrated (outdoor food) Market at least once; saw The Liberty Bell, and always visited the then famous street that had a ton of cool stores for Crafts, clothes etc. Walked around the area that had Historical Town houses. Of course, I did have one Philly Cheese Steak on one visit. 😁
Her half basement apt faced a corner where the
Trolley turned! Obviously she got used to it.
Good times! 👍🧡

OP
That is odd - maybe that evened things out! Either way, I'm soooo grateful

Whenever I visited DC for fun (vs marches & demonstrations) I'd always be checking the forecast....

The past few years, D.C. metro has been getting more snow than even here in Philly

Dammit! For four years I prayed for someone at the White House to get hit by lightning.

Yikes! 😮 Hopefully these poor people will recover. Good luck to them, and their people!
