In reply to the discussion: Fauci: Military personnel opting out of vaccine are 'part of the problem' [View all]womanofthehills
(8,698 posts)77. The info about the plumes can be found online
One plume went over the Oscura Mts, across Chupadera Mesa (which I can see from my house & still has plutonium on it's ridges) and over Cedarvale (where my friend lives) - continuing up NE New Mexico. Other plumes went east and west of the Trinity Site. There were so many ranches in the area and none of the people were notified.
While our nation struggles to survive the COVID-19 pandemic, New Mexicans are already engaged in a deadly health crisis that has cost the lives of thousands of our beloved family and community members for the past 75 years. This crisis is the overexposure to radiation from the worlds first nuclear bomb detonation at Trinity Site in south central New Mexico on July 16, 1945. In the process it made many New Mexicans the first Downwinder communities exposed to radiation from nuclear weapons. The Trinity test in New Mexico was followed by the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki three weeks later and we are all memorializing our dead on this 75th anniversary of the nuclear age. And just as the country is waiting for a pandemic recovery plan, New Mexicans are still waiting to be included in the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) found in U.S. House Bill 3783.

When I served in the Army, we followed orders, no one complained we knew it was for our own good.

A legitimate beef voiced in an unacceptable manner. No need for that tone.

People living downwind from the nuclear test sites had more cancer cases than those who didn't.

The vaccines are not FDA approved yet so military cannot force them to get the shots.
