16. You know what you have to do

My supervisor used to tell me that when we discussed how to prepare a case for trial. At that point I was an experienced trial attorney and my supervisor, rightly, assumed that I knew how to conduct a trial and didn't feel the need to give me directions.

The same is true with President Obama. At this point he should know how to defend his track record and attack Romney's ridiculous claims. He should know that his performance in the first debate was terrible in many ways. "Too polite" is a bogus excuse.

He should say "I'll do much better next time" and leave it at that.
