27. I was a fan of Peale in college.

In fact, I give his book full credit for helping me turn my life around completely from a deep depression, and it may have even saved my life.

There is nothing wrong with that philosophy.

That having been said, I DO seem to recall that Peale advocated quite forcefully that effective action needs to be coupled with your positive thinking. In fact, you pretty much need to work your ass off and "meet the Lord halfway", as it were. Only a lazy, total moron would think otherwise, and Trump is the God King of lazy morons.
