33. Debates aren't necessarily won by the most intelligent person

If they were, Reagan, Bush I and Bush II would never have been elected President. The person judged the winner is usually the one who comes across as someone people like better. Obama can pull it off if he's not condescending, which incumbents sometimes are in debates. If Romney can curb his obnoxious tendencies he may be able to convince viewers he's a good guy, but I doubt it.
