I wrote yesterday that it appears to lave a long prodromal stage during which people are not ill but are contagious.

They're going to have to go back in time on this one, closing schools, closing large gatherings including religious ones as well as entertainment and corporate megameetings, prioritizing jobs, and restricting travel. A whole lot of people are going to have to start telecommuting.

Cases in the US have been Chinese travelers so far. Give it another week and a half, see if it has spread to people they came into contact with before they had any idea they were ill.

This virus is brand new, we haven't seen it in humans before. There is too much about it we don't know yet. China has been doing much of the research and their actions have been appropriate and timely. They are sharing what information they have as they discover and confirm it.
