It might have been done (fittingly) for Scotty also, but I know they did it for Gene. Actually, I always thought it was a pretty cool idea, especially for the original Star Trek crew. Between Star Trek and our commitment at the time to reach for the stars, it was a pretty heady, and exciting time.
