2. This election says less about the PQ

 

than it does about the continuing total collapse of the Grits across Canada.

The PQ has the most seats, but had a -3% swing. The Liberal Party lost twice as many seats as the PQ gained and had a -10% swing. The center-of-the-road Coalition got a +10% swing (almost a complete mirror image of what the Liberals lost) and gained more seats than the PQ.

Basically, the PQ can't pursue independence simply because it has no mandate. This was not an increase of support for the PQ, it was a massive loss of support for the Liberal Party.
