Its a good thing when he has an unearned sense of security. It keeps him from striking out in fear.

Then again, his followers will be in for a rude shock when things go down... the out of the blue (to them in their bubbles) will be a major shock to the system. They’ll probably reflexively disbelieve anything negative they hear.
