5. Those local elections are vital

FIRST you have to win the statehouse, and the registrar of voters. that's what the Tea Party did; building that infrastructure, capture the state houses, redistrict, get good people in running the voting. Boring, hard work, but in a lot of ways the School Board, the County and the City, those have as much or more impact on our day to day lives.

The fact is that we don't get a super charismatic candidate like Barrack Obama very often, those superstars can win even if the GOP controls the lower levers of government, but much of the time it's the boring elections, the City Council, the mid terms, that really count in the long run.
