If some white nationalist group had claimed he was one of theirs, what would the reaction be?

Some would still be, "It's not news until they know--first check it out thoroughly." Others would know this to be true beyond any doubt and if it was checked out and found false they'd still be saying it a year from now and complaining about a cover up.
