8. NPR story this morning said they are mostly Bar/Restaurant jobs and Healthcare.

While some jobs are better than no jobs, I have the suspicion that these are not the kinds of jobs that we really want.

Example: my sister lost her job as assistant manager in retail, and had to take a waitressing job. She works for less than minimum wage, and even tips doesn't make up for it. She works lunch shift, which for whatever reason, people don't usually tip 15%. She is really hurting.
