3. As more of this comes out, will people become immune to the shock? Will this be "new normal"?

I remember when W Bush made so many misstatements that the media decided it was so common that is was not "news". Everyone knew the guy was a dolt and so they moved on.

Ronald Reagan got the same "pass". The attitude was "Oh, there goes our Ronnie again", like he was a beloved uncle with dementia.

Now I see the lying is getting only passing mention. How can a pundit say Trump or Pence "won" a debate when 75% of their statements are lies?

Today Trump throws out a new outrage every day. How long before folk get "outrage fatigue"? How many, especially young people, will accept this as "politics as usual"?
