In reply to the discussion: APNewsBreak: State Department Reopens Clinton Emails Probe [View all]stopbush
(24,716 posts)The State Department has the most out of date and ancient infrastructure in the government due to the lack of funding to secure their internal networks.
When I conducted my last survey of the State Department over two years ago, those who were outside the State Department internal network (i.e.anybody who traveled at all) could not access their email. Period full stop.
Hillary Clinton's email server network was more secure than anything the State Department had ever presented in the entire history of that Bureau's history. She is to be commended for the effort and personal expenditure she went to in order to provide herself with the very basic service she needed in order to do her job during her time as Secretary of State.
Yes, that is correct, PERSONAL EXPENDITURE.
She provided herself with better infrastructure than the State Department was capabale of providing during her tenure and she paid for nearly all of it out of pocket.
Needless to say, this is the absolute most information I can provide in a private context without violating the law.
