“We just felt hopelessness,” said Cody Howard, a professional storm chaser who had been contracted to shoot weather footage on the island. His exit strategy evaporated when the island’s airport closed.


“The whole sense that I got out of it was: We didn’t pay enough money to stay at a Marriott place, therefore, we weren’t good enough to get on that boat,” he said.


Let me get this straight... the guy went there BECAUSE a hurricane was coming in order to make money, and now feels "hopeless" that he's been stuck there for a couple of days because the hurricane came?

I don't know what sort of qualifications are required to be a "professional storm chaser" but, good golly, does he know anything about storms?

Hey, Cody, it's a hurricane. Shit happens. Charge more for your video.
