Pelosi: Of Course You Can Be a Democrat and Against Abortion [View all]

Recently there has been - as we've all seen - claims that Bernie is not a Democrat, or not able to represent Democratic values because he's focused on economic issues, not social ones.

In fact we've had several threads that basically try and make the claim that no one that is anti-choice is able to be a Democrat.

So what does these same people say about this?

"Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says that it's absolutely possible for someone to be a member of the Democratic Party and also be against abortion.

"Of course," she told Chuck Todd when asked on Sunday's "Meet The Press."

"I have served many years in Congress with members who have not shared my very positive — my family would say aggressive — position on promoting a woman's right to choose."

Should she be drummed out for saying Democrats can be anti-choice?
