Even long-time members can fall foul of this - tone is something it's difficult to read in text online (what you wrote was hyped enough that it made me laugh). It's even worse if folks don't know you yet (we do get quite a few people signing up just to cause trouble, which puts folks here on edge sometimes). The person who challenged you above and is no longer with us was out of order in what they wrote, which is one reason why they and their comment are gone.
You can just add some verbal indication if you want (/sarcasm or whatever). The graphic I posted is one quite a few here seem to like, and you access it by clicking on "smilies" at the top of the reply box, then the box with three dots ... which will bring up more smilies, and 
is there at top left of the new selection that appears. Just click on it or any of the others, and they'll be inserted in your post wherever the cursor is.
