I said much the same. I love steak, and I eat mine rare. A rare steak has to be high quality, otherwise it is too tough or tastes off. I get a kick out of people in this thread that are ranting about Wal-Mart steaks and probably eat them medium well or well done. They wouldn't know a fine stead from a poor one no matter where it came from because they eat it burned up.

Quality meat is aged and tender so that it can be served rare or medium rare.
