In reply to the discussion: Walmart steaks? [View all]jwirr
(39,215 posts)30. Speaking of Walmart and food - I was driving today and saw a Walmart truck with a sign on it that
said "Walmart working to fight hunger". I assume that they are giving some of their unsellable foods to charities. I had two feelings - first I felt insulted and thought - you could do more if you would vote for Democrats. The other feeling was less noble. I have gone to those charities for food sometimes and I am glad they are willing to do this much at least.

If you were part of a promotion like this, you'd get the bill comped as part of the release.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, considering most restaurants around here buy their food from Sam's

WalMart doesn't deliver but Sam's Club might. A lot of local restaurants here source from Sam's.
