7. I would say most youthful voters are....

... pretty much disengaged from the system. They'll vote if some candidate or issue really catches their attention, but they'll stay home at an even higher rate than average voters, which is pretty bad.


There was a good turnout of youth voters in 2008, thanks to Barack Obama (remember him?) getting them all charged up. Two years later they stayed home and the Republicans had a field day.


If the powers that be who run the Democratic Party really want to win elections, they should have a national slate of candidates that brought a consistent message, one that again charged up youthful and other disengaged members of the electorate.

I'll bet a nationwide campaign of strengthening SS, Medicare for All, raising the minimum wage, reigning in Wall Street and ending our war-mongering would get those People to the polls on election day.
