99. There is no precedent for the Supreme Court to involve themselves in this.

The Supreme Court can't reach out and take up an issue on its own authority. A matter must be brought before them by a party with standing to do so, as was the case in Bush v Gore. They did not "[decide] to intervene", but rather Bush petitioned the Court to review the legality of the Florida recount as it was being carried out at the time and the Court agreed to take the case. Very big difference there.
