(9,314 posts)You remember Scott McClellan, one of George W. Bush's* press secretaries. His father is Barr McClellan, an attorney in Texas. The law firm with which he was associated represented LBJ from the inception of his career. The book is fascinating, joining together many individuals and entities long suspected of having been involved with President Kennedy's assassination.
This book was also what inspired the History Channel's presentation on this subject which so angered the Johnson family. They demanded time to repute the contents of this book. I watched that refutation. None of the so-called experts addressed any of the salient points in the book; instead they discussed their impression of the type of person Johnson was and his good deeds. Barr McClellan includes a series of exhibits which provide a seemingly incontrovertible documentation of Johnson's involvement. Several others are named as having participated at a meeting on the subject -- high profile people -- shortly before the assassination.
Here is a link to a post I wrote some time ago on this book, and I highly recommend the book to anyone seriously interested in this tragedy.
