the gun ........ discharged and struck the officer's wife.

Bad gun! Bad gun!

Ever hear of a safety or unload the damn thing.

Maybe taking safety precautions would have slowed down the cop if a bad guy showed up.

I feel for those that get hurt by gun nuts. But I feel so much better knowing that now that guns are so prolific, accidents have actually gone down.
