I was one of the silly ones who believed that Brownback was so far to the right that moderate republicans would not vote for him. I was wrong. But I also believe that had the party and Holland worked harder at raising money the election wouldn't have been a slam dunk for Brownback.

Just like with the Slattery campaign, fundraising opportunities were lost. I'm not sure why but that knowledge leads me to have little faith in the KDP. The new executive director was a smart move but I'm still waiting to see how effective she will be.
