1. I don't know if I 'feel it'

My dad (passed away four years ago) - former Army Captain - in the first 'class' of Green Berets was clear - very clear -

Don't thank me for my service. All I did was run around installing new dictators when we didn't like the old ones.


I think even my husband - active duty as an Italian Marine Officer / Tactical Sharp Shooter - many years ago (late 80's early 90's - Italy is dirty birdies) . . . agreed with my dad on that.


We don't give American military and Western Military folks enough credit for being aware. Unfortunately the 'USA! USA! USA!' shouting crowd in the military are always the ones getting air time. They 'fit' the narrative if you will.
