You raise legitimate and scary points so let's just concentrate on getting the President re-elected so that he might have the opportunity to appoint at least a couple of SCOTUS justices. Five of them are in their 70s now and they're only going to get older. If he can appoint enough of them over the next four years to switch that 5-4 regressive majority to a more progressive one, Citizens United might be overturned and the country might be saved from the fast-closing corporate fascism you've rightly pointed out in our rearview mirror. If reminds me of something the late great Negro league pitcher Satchel Paige said: "Don't look back, something might be gaining on you." We got to look forward and work hard for the President's re-election so that we can pull far ahead of that frightening specter looming in rearview.
