You know what would be even more troubling than finding out they were linked?

Finding out they weren't.

What if these occurrences are just becoming so common that they are aligning on their own, purely due to happenstance? One of those "Honey, do you think anyone else in the world is doing exactly the same thing as us at this moment?" moments, in a really fucked up way.
