In reply to the discussion: The Evolution Paradigm Shift [View all]Pitkänen's work is expressed in math that takes not only years to study but also talent for fully comprehend. That does not mean that the philosophical background and implications of his work can't and shouldn't be discussed.
So yeas, I see similarities, and as Shapiro has been criticized for lack of connections to physics, it's natural to suggest that physics starting from philosophy of what Whitehead called "organic realism" would be better suited than theories build on metaphysics of reductionistic materialism.
Comprehension is etymologically collective effort and all I can do is to share my limited and imperfect insights and points of view and continue dialogue with those willing to participate.
