JFK, FDR & Pearl Harbor, RFK, 9/11, Apollo Moon landings, etc.

What do these have in common? Mystery mongering!

I have no sympathy for people who take contrived mysteries, which are inevitable in any historic event, and turn them into an even greater, ever encompassing conspiracy which swallows all known facts.

I am a big fan of yours here, TheMastersNemesis, but I am very reticent to go down the conspiracy theorist road with you. There are things about history which we will never know. But the conspiracy theorist claims that fact while simultaneously claiming that they know what happened. This, of course, is a logical fallacy, the argument from ignorance, whereby one claims that we don't know everything about some history, therefore it is a big conspiracy.

The moon landings really happened, FDR did not ignore warnings about Japan, JFK was murdered by Ozwald, 9/11 was precisely a plot which could be concocted by a guy on dialysis in a cave (implemented solely with plane tickets and box cutters), and in spite of anecdotal evidence, RFK seems to have been murdered by one kook.

The take-away from this is to listen to people but don't let yourself get suckered into an alternative reality. There are many questions about these historic events. Unfortunately, the conspiracy theorist, with no more information than anybody, somehow has pierced the veil to reveal the Real truth.

The arguments are all based on logical fallacies. There is where their arguments collapse.

As much of a fan I am of you here, I cannot walk down this road with you. Do keep posting your truly great posts, though.
