15. I'd rip him a new ass with my personal story ...

My parents had no money to lend me. No home equity. No rich relatives.

Yet I was at the top of my class and was accepted to an expensive private school. Reagan decided that this was a good time to remove the interest deductions on credit cards and student loans ... my primary means of paying for school.

I did receive a few small pell grants and stafford loans ... the GOP HATES those because they help a lower middle class kid go to a better school.

I received a BS, then an MA, then a PHD ... first person in my family to get a single college degree.

Paid off my loans. And I now make enough income such that I pay more in federal taxes a year, than my mother ever made in a year.

Mitt HATES that. Some kid like me who was just above poor can compete with his kids.

When Mitt says "shop around" or "borrow from your parents" ... what he means is "know your place, its not up HERE with me and my kids."

also, spend a few years traveling about Paris. Build an elevator for your cars while you are at it. Liberal_in_LA Apr 2012 #1
