In Italy, those scientists predicted there would be no volcano. They were wrong. Their imprisonment for a mistake was bizarre.

Here, the GOP has told us since president Obama took office that indiscriminate cuts have no consequences. Nobody is suggesting jail time. Nevertheless, it is obvious that cuts to medical research have consequences to everyone, except gop elected officials. For heavens sake, several senators, including senator McCain, tried to end fruit fly research, despite the clear importance of that research to medical advances. The GOP's policy prescriptions of late have been ridiculous and dangerous. This ad. is appropriate.
