I merely defended the person who confused the two (#13) by noting that they are both schlocky artists who could be easily confused. I would also suggest that confusing Kinkade with McNaughton does not make a person "look silly and uneducated." Not only is this a gratuitous insult, inappropriate on DU, but simply wrong: Sensible, educated people, who should know the difference between Matisse and Degas, shouldn't be able to recognize either Kinkade or McNaughton in the first place since these are not respectable artists. So where does that leave all of us?
