that we really do not have it that bad living under imperial rule where we start wars with other nations to steal their resources, openly manipulate their forms of government including killing their leaders, send our corporations into impoverished places to exploit their workers so our refrigerators will always be full of fresh produce flown in direct from countries where the workers will not ever be able to afford these luxuries, etc. etc.

Sorry to be a downer, but we Americans have very little sense of perspective.
