From my old days in an antique business I have a former customer now friend who fits this profile. He is a relatively moderate Republican who believes that we need a functioning economic social net but worries about ideological leftists who "don't understand" business but just as worried about the whacko rightists who have been taking over the Republican Party. He values competence highly and though he doesn't exactly like Hillary Clinton he knows that she is competent and he has respect for her. He thinks she is up for the job, unlike the Ted Cruz type Republicans and their ilk.

He would rather elect a Chris Christie or Mitt Romney, but if the Republicans are going to nominate someone like a Ted Cruz or Rand Paul he would rather see Hillary at the helm.
