In reply to the discussion: Rush Limbaugh Freaks Out About Stephen Colbert Getting 'Late Show' [View all]LiberalLovinLug
(14,154 posts)92. Comedy is a librul invention
"No longer is comedy going to be a covert assault on traditional American values, conservatism. Now it's just wide out in the open."
It was something the Right thought they had under control. Carlin died, Air America, with Al Franken shut down, and that Dubya hating Letterman about to retire. Now Comedy will be given a new stage.
Truth has always been known to have a liberal bias, but what we now understand, thanks to Rush, is that Comedy itself is about as pinko commie as it comes. Because in the far Right's utopia no one laughs or makes fun of anything (unless its them on silly libruls)

Colbert owns & produces the Report. Contract with comedy central is to 2017? He can do all 3 shows.

TV doesn't care what old geezers think. They want the 18 to 30 yr. old demo. It was a brilliant move
