If you click the "See why", the reasons for some of them are utterly absurd.

My 3% alignment with Republicans comes from thinking the federal government should continue to protect national parks, that we should increase funding for space exploration, my not liking bullshit right wing education reform, and my thinking that we need regulation that prevents banks from becoming too big to fail. Not a single one of which is actually part of the Republican platform.

Being a quarter libertarian came from being pro-choice (Which a huge chunk of libertarians aren't.), not being a drug warrior, and not thinking killing random brown people that are the wrong religion is cool. Thassit.

My disagreements with Socialist were equally weird. My not wanting offshore drilling makes me solidly opposed to the socialists because they think we should nationalize the energy sector, which aren't mutually exclusive. The only actual issue I disagreed with them on was guns, on which I'm more moderate than DU, but more in favor of control than most of the country.
