3. The Trouble Is

The trouble is that I believe that your satire is what the GOP really is thinking. That women are not qualified to vote and do need guidance. The fundamental premise behind ALL of the GOP mechinations over contraception and abortion goes back to the Dominionist and theocratic idea women are genetically inferior. The Book of Genesis implies it directly i.e. women was made of Adam's rib. The GOP is willing to give the theocrats political power in exchange for economic power.

Even though your piece is satire, I would guess it is not satire to the GOP or fundamentalist mind. What is sad is how many GOP women and other women go along with it. In my opinion women face the biggest political threat since suffrage. I also believe that the GOP would rescind the 19th amendment if they thought they could get away with it. Many Democrats and Republicans in particular did not support suffrage back in 1920. The GOP and conservative viciously apposed the Equal Rights Amendment. It needed only one or two states to be ratified and Phylis Schafly of the Eagle Forum and the GOP went on the war path and killed it.

And I do believe that if women push back like they did with suffrage the GOP will treat women violently if they have power. If you watch the movie "Iron Jawed Women" you will see how violently women were treated during that fight for the vote and suffrage passed by only ONE vote that was a last minute change.

I know who these people are because I have been following them extensively since Reagan. There is no place whatsoever for any women in the Republican party as it is now. As long as they can control your health care and reproductive care women will have no economic freedom, political freedom or personal freedom. And they are dead serious about taking away all of womens rights.

Just look at the governor of Virginia how mocking he is today that its all just a political game brewed by Democrats and women. He is a rising star in the GOP who could be the VP nomination and he is touted as a potential presidential candidate in 2016 if Romney loses.

Women better make sure they vote in big numbers and that Democrats prevail because it is game over.
